Membership of the TCA is open to any businesses or individual active in the ICT marketplace. Current membership includes major vendors (Intel, Samsung, etc) as well as international and national distributors (VIP, Enta, Widget etc), major publishers (Incisive VNU, Dennis Publishing) and more than 700 resellers

The TCA offers five types of membership: Full, Confidence Assured, Individual, Associate and International. Click on Benefits of Membership to the side of this page to see the full details of membership benefits for the different classes. Membership is available from as little as £5 per month. When you are ready to apply to become a member, click on "become a member" at the top of the page.

Full membership is suitable for vendors and distributors and other in-channel (trade only) suppliers, together with larger retailers and resellers. Full members have, among other things, voting rights within the association and includes Confidence Assured membership and free membership of the Technical Panel scheme at no extra charge, if the business concerned is end-user facing.

Confidence Assured membership is most suitable for independent resellers and retailers, who primarily wish to show that they are bound by the Code of Practice and are willing to accept the TCA’s conciliation in sorting out disputes. Full members who are end-user facing have Confidence Assured membership included in their membership

Individual Membership can be applied for by people who wish to demonstrate their personal commitment to the aims of the Association, and signifies their level of experience in customer facing roles, as either a Member or Fellow of the TCA (M.TCA, F.TCA). They may use this in conjunction with their own name, but not in relations to their trading name.

Affiliate Membership includes suppliers of products and services to our members, and typically encompasses financial & legal services specialists and other business advisors. The membership rate is the same as for Full members, although discounts may be offered based on exclusive benefits provided to TCA members. 

International Membership is available to companies, typically vendors that do not have a formal, corporate presence in the UK. They may have a representative here, but no office or stockholding facility. A special three year International membership package is available.
